Amanda

Amanda is a North Carolina native and joined the Summit team in September 2022. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College in 2012, where she earned a degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. After graduating as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), she worked primarily in private small animal practices, and even spent time as a technician for the Veterinary Specialty Hospital (Blue Pearl) in Internal Medicine. Amanda eventually transitioned into the North Carolina State University Equine Hospital at the School of Veterinary Medicine, where she learned to love the world of large animal medicine. Even though most of her career has been working with small animals, her true passion is working with horses. 

 

In her free time, Amanda enjoys barrel racing with her horse, Jolene, and spending time with her husband Corbitt and dog Shelbi.
